A Letter from the boys and girls who live at the Promised Land Home.

 

“Dear Mom and Dad,

We are praying everyday for you and we know that you are praying for us. Because of you we are able to live here, and God will surely bless you because you are helping us. We normally wake up at five o’clock in the morning and we pray for you at least 30 minutes. They are taking care of us really good here and we are studying really good here as well. In the evening we also have tutoring for our school lessons, and are in the habit of studying more. We also have really good food here each day. When we go to school we feel like we want to share the gospel, but sometimes we get mocked when we do and so we pray for them. We know that Jesus loves everyone just like He loves us. He was born into this world for every person and He will help us in our time of need. He died on the cross for our sins.

Before we came here we did not have anything, and many of us had to beg. Before we came here we had never heard about Jesus before. But here at this home, we have all accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. After we came here we feel wisdom and we are getting good grades at school.

We never imagined that we could ever have this good kind of life before. We never celebrated a birthday before, but now we do. We never had joy in our lives before—we didn’t even know what joy was; but now we are feeling joy here. We never traveled by a van to get to school either, so we pray to the Lord to get good marks at school. We all feel like a family here. We love the playground that we got this year and the staff workers are taking good care of us. Pastor is also coming here and takes good care of us. We like everyone here.

“Dear my Beloved Mom and Dad,

Greetings in the name Jesus! How are you! We all are so thankful what you are doing for us. Because of your help we are studying good. We also love you so much. Thank you so much for being our moms and dads. We always remember to pray for you. We wake up in the morning at 5:00 o’clock and the first thing that we do is pray for you. We always pray for you because we love you. We pray for you even before we eat and before we go to bed each night.  We pray that the Lord will give you many blessings in your life. All of us at one time were all forsaken and abandoned and we were living alone, but through your love brought us hope again. We were once wandering around in the villages with the starvation many days, but you introduced Jesus into our lives through your helps.

If you did not help us now how would we know about Jesus? Everyday we are growing in the Lord and learning about him. We feel so blessed that you are our parents. Also because of your helps are families have also come to know about Jesus!

We want to thank you so much for all the Christmas gifts. We all got different gifts this year that we enjoyed and we are so thankful for these gifts. We all loved our gifts this year. We like everything here at the orphanage, we like the games, the food, the shelter, we like to play, watching Bible movies, we like to pray and learn the Bible. We are always so glad to get the letters from you because it makes us feel so important and that someone knows about us and cares about us.
