Ministry to the Sensory-Impaired

How ICII Is Helping The Sensory-Impaired

Independent Church's ministry to the sensory-impaired is designed around helping those who are blind or deaf. We serve them in the love of Christ, with the intention that they will come to know Him.

In this ministry, we help the sensory-impaired in a variety of ways. From getting them needed medical attention to helping provide food and shelter. At the forefront of our mission is sharing the love of Christ and teaching the Gospel so that they may know salvation.

This area of ministry is strongly connected with our leprosy program. A large number of people with leprosy lose vision over time. We help many leprosy victims recover eyesight through cataract surgery.

Blind
"And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known:
I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them." Isaiah 42:16

What Is ICII Doing To Help The Sensory-Impaired In India?

ICII provides treatment for the sensory-impaired as well as spiritual guidance. We introduce many lost souls in India who are blind or deaf to Jesus Christ while loving them, comforting them, and providing help with their physical needs such as food, clothing, or medical treatment. We have pastors and missionaries, some with sensory impairment themselves, who are especially called and committed to ministry among the blind or the deaf. We conduct outreaches, Bible studies, and church services especially oriented toward the sensory-impaired.
