Pushpam’s Testimony (Leprosy)

I am from a non-Christian family. I never had a chance to get married because of my leprosy. My parents died a long time ago and I have 2 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters. I am eating ration rice. Because of my leprosy disease, I cannot work and provide for myself. My one sister made me like a slave and made me to do all the bad jobs around the house. Recently my sister said I can no longer take care of you anymore, I cannot provide food or anything for you anymore.

She chased me out of her house. Then I became homeless and I was only begging for the food so I could live. Because of my sickness, my family hated me and they did not care about me. My family all turned against me and told me not to come back again. I didn’t have anyone in this world. Then I became homeless and I only ate once a day and sometimes I did not eat each day. One day I went to Independent Church in India’s Promised land church and explained to them what had happened to me. They invited me to come and live in the Promised Land Community. I am so much thankful for this home and the people who took me here.

It will also provide medicine, clothes, personal needs, and will help to keep the Promised Land leprosy community running smoothly.

Here at their new home your leprosy friend will also learn more about Jesus through Bible studies and attending services. You will receive a photo and a testimony card of the leprosy friend that you decide to sponsor. Also each year you will receive a letter from your leprosy friend.
