Ministry To Widows
Sewing Machine For Widows
You can provide a sewing machine with accessories for one of ICII’s sewing centers. The sewing center will teach poor widows how to sew, and machines will be available freely for widows to use so they can earn an income for the needs of their families.
Hope In Life Through Tailoring School
"At one of the tailoring schools a woman named Muniyammal who was badly burned told her shocking story to us. At the age of 13, her mother arranged her marriage to a 40-year-old relative. Her husband was a drunkard who beat her and burned her with cigarettes. One night he poured kerosene on her, lit her on fire, locked the door and ran away. A neighbor heard her screaming, took her to the hospital and saved her life. For many years she couldn’t work because of her burns. But now through the tailoring school she has come to know Jesus! Now she attends the tailoring school and regular church services. Now she tells that all her hope is in Jesus, and also the tailoring school. Muniyammal says; “One day my dream is to have my own shop. Thank you so much for the tailoring school.”
James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Bags Of Rice For Widows
“I accepted Jesus five years ago. We are daily-wage workers. We have six people in our family. If I don’t go to work, we can’t eat. I work in the market selling vegetables every day. Also I will sell vegetables in the street from a basket. But after the virus started, I was unable to go to work. I was worried how we are going to eat. Every day, we use a little bit of rice for a one-time meal. But one day God sent ICII's pastors to my house. They gave me rice so that my family can eat. Thank you so much for providing for my needs. We are praying for you. We know that Jesus will never leave us or forget us in our lives. Thank you!”
Many poor people who have to live on cheap, old rice (many times they have to pick out the worms) get terrible stomach pain and get sick often. When they eat good rice ICII provides, they feel much healthier. They realize how much Jesus loves them to provide for their needs.
You can give an eleven-pound bag of rice to a widow, an orphan, a homeless family, a leprosy victim, a poor and needy family, a blind or disabled person for only $5. This rice may be their only hope to survive. Don’t let a poor person miss another meal.
