The strong El Nino this year is producing heavy rains in Kenya, which has brought much destruction of houses and crops. The rains are expected to last for months and could cause more damage in Kenya.
Pastor Calvince, ICII’s ministry partner in Kenya, has just informed us that two of his missionaries and their families have suffered great loss due to flooding caused by El Nino. Both of these pastors have families and are also caring for orphans who lost their parents to HIV. They have had to leave their homes because of floods in their area. These families and some of those who are attending their churches are now in urgent need of food and clothing.
We want to help these pastors and their families who have given their whole lives to preaching the Gospel and are now suffering due to this flood. Our goal is to try to raise at least $500 to give them a new start and help them to get food and clothing.
