You can give an orphan or a needy child a bright future!

As an ICII child sponsor, you will experience the ways in which your support, prayers, and love bring a needy child hope for the future. Through your sponsorship, not only will your child be able to have things we take for granted, like hearty meals, clean clothing, and medical care if they are sick, but will also receive Christian love that they had never known before. Your sponsored child will be loving cared for, will learn God's Word, and be guided and encouraged to have a close personal relationship with Jesus. Because of your sponsorship, your child will realize there is a meaning and purpose for his or her life.

Children Who Need Sponsors

Angela(age 10) lives in India.
Angelia’s mother and father have epilepsy. The father left her and her mother alone in the village and
they stay in a small house. Many times when Angela’s mother gets epilepsy she has to try to wake her
up and help her. Many times they do not have food to eat so they have to go begging. When they get
ration-rice this is the only thing they will eat. This rice is very old and stale and may time it even has
worms in it. Many times the mother will get epilepsy but no one will come and help her. She will lay
down a long time. She said people have even chased her away when she goes for begging for food
in the village..

Sharmila (age 12) lives in India.
Sharmila's mother and father both had HIV. Her father died when she was six, and her mother
had to beg for a living. Her mother and her grandmother live in a very poor leaking hut, the worst
house in the whole village. All of her male relatives have died, and the villagers think that her family
is cursed. The villagers were even trying to convince her mother to poison herself because she wasn't
worthy to live. They wouldn't allow her mother to beg inside her village, so she would have to walk to
other villages to try to get food.

Emmimmal (age 15) lives in India.
Emimaal is from a remote tribal area. The people who live here have a lot of tea plantation.
When Emimaal was very young, her father died. Her mother had to go to the tea plantation
to work but even sometimes she did not get paid and had to work very cheap labor. So the
family began starving because she could not provide all their needs. They were so very poor.
Then some people came and wanted to take Emimaal and her sister (Susee) for the child slave
labor. At the right time the Lord sent someone to them from the Home of Compassion orphanage.
Emimaal and her sister were rescued  and brought to the Home of Compassion orphanage.

Pauline, age 7 (Kenya)

Pauline, age 7 (Kenya)

Pauline (age 7) lives in Kenya.
Pauline parents died three years ago. Not only did Pauline become an orphan, but she is also HIV/AIDS positive. No one took her in after the death of her parents, because everyone thought that she would die. Her life had been hopeless and she was suffering from malnutrition and lack of care. Pauline really went through a lot of suffering in life because of her condition. She needs monthly medicine which will keep her much more comfortable. Our partner has taken her into his home in Kenya (a small home called Freedom and Truth orphanage) but he needs monthly support so he can continue to care for her.

Reuben, age 12 (Kenya)

Reuben, age 12 (Kenya)

Reuben (age 12) lives in Kenya.
When Reuben was very young his mother died, and he was left alone. He walked from one house to the other looking for help, and lived in the streets, just sleeping in the bushes and even collecting food from the garbage. Many people chased him out from their doors when he asked for food. He was planning to hang himself, but at the right time our partner has taken Reuben into his home in Kenya (a small home called Freedom and Truth orphanage) but he urgently needs monthly support so he can continue to care for him.

Joy, age 7 (Kenya)

Joy, age 7, lives in Kenya.
When both of her parents died of AIDS, Joy became homeless. Living out on the streets, she often had to go hungry for days between meals. She was malnourished, unwashed, and covered with sores when Pastor Calvince, the leader of our partner ministry in Kenya, found her. He took her to the hospital for tests, where he received the heartbreaking results: little Joy had tested positive for HIV. It's true that the doctors can't cure the virus that is in her body. But she can have a good home and know the love of Christ and of people around her who care about her. She can have three nourishing meals each day, clean clothes to wear, a safe and comfortable place to sleep, a chance to go to school, and medical care when she needs it.

Freedom And Truth Ministries’ Outreaches to Orphans in Kenya

Support Freedom and Truth Ministries' Provision for Orphans Projects

In Kenya, poor pastors who have dedicated their lives to preaching the Gospel and doing ministry have a huge responsibility of taking in orphans in their area whose parents have died due to AIDS. These pastors are already struggling to feed their own families, but out of love and compassion they each take in orphans because there is no other place for these grieving children to go. You can help to provide food, medical, school expenses, clothing, and more for a pastor's family and the orphans he has taken responsibility for in Kenya.

Just imagine if your life was like this.....

What missionaries are saying about Independent Church in India

"To see first hand individuals becoming an extension of who Jesus is in our world today, reaching out to lepers whom society looked upon as untouchable, to provide food and clothing, bedding to sleep upon even if that means sleeping on the side of a busy dirty street filled with all kinds of humanity, animals etc. is the kind of compassion Jesus still has today if He can just find someone to carry His presence and power."                   ................................ Evangelist/Missionary/Author - Dave

In the villages, which have been reached by the ministry team of the Independent Church in India, there is a ray of hope ....... Many of the people have a new hope, which they have found only in hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ.     - US Missionary Kristi
