Udaiyammal is frail, elderly, and has leprosy, but the men approached her, rough and abusive, and even pushed her down to the ground. They also threatened ICII's female Gospel team that was ministering in the village. Rudely, they told ICII's team and Udaiyammal, "You should no longer come to this village to teach the Bible because all the people here are now accepting your God. The people are no longer following our gods and they are not having respect to listen to what we are telling them. If you don't stop coming here to teach about your God something very bad will happen to you!" They threatened Udaiyammal because she has been the key person that ICII has been working through to accomplished the Lord's miraculous work in this village. The villager leader, Udaiyammal, and many of the other villagers intend to stand together and tell these men that they cannot stop the Bible studies because this is what their village wants. ICII has a future vision to also build a church near this area, because the Lord is moving in this village and in the surrounding villages. Please join us in prayer that satan's plan for these Bibles studies will not be hindered by the threats of this Hindu extremist cult and God's perfect will for these people will be done.

Medical Outreach For Leprosy Victims - Every worship service, the Lord is using ICII to feed and give medical treatment to all those with leprosy that are coming to worship the Lord. Each week the ICII team is praying for them, ministering to them, and helping provide needs such as clothing, sandals, blankets, mats, and other urgent needs. In the recent past, ICII has sent four of their native missionaries for medical training on how to treat leprosy victims and upon their return they have been doing a tremendous job. Leprosy patients who have bad and painful ulcers are invited to come back during the week so they can have their bandages changed and have medicine applied to their wounds. ICII is providing for all their traveling expenses and medical treatment. In the past, no one, not even doctors, would so much as touch them, but ICII's team is showing the love of Jesus to them, treating their sores, and praying for them. Many of our leprosy friends shared with the team, "We have never been treated this good before, not even in any hospital. Now many of our wounds are getting better, because we are in your constant care, and getting medical treatment". Those who are coming are giving thanks to God and are realizing that Jesus is the true and living God who loves them.

Persecuted for the Gospel's Sake - A few days later, the team also provided bags of rice for the other side of Udaiyammal's village where the people are of higher caste. Despite their caste, they are still very poor and they also accepted the rice from ICII with much joy. Before the team distributed the rice, a large crowd gathered and the team took the opportunity to preach the Gospel because not all had heard it on this side of the village before. Many of the people accepted the Lord with joy. A few days later, some guys from a Hindu extremist group heard that ICII had given out rice to the high-caste people.

ICII Supporter Feeds a Whole Village!

There was a time of rejoicing for one village nicknamed after a woman named Udaiyammal, who has leprosy. A generous supporter of ICII was touched by how the Lord was moving in that village. Moved with compassion, he offered to sponsor a rice outreach for the entire village. Each family in Udaiyammal's village received an eleven-pound bag of rice.

This village is one of the poorest villages that ICII ministers to, so the people really appreciated getting the rice. They all realized that this was an act of compassion that was done in the name of Jesus. Here are some of the testimonies that were shared from the village people that day after receiving the rice packs: The ICII Gospel team delivered the rice at the perfect time, one man shared. "Many of the people in our village didn't have any job because of the time of the season and our jobs are not functioning at this time of the year. Our families are really suffering because we cannot go to work and many times we are only eating once per day. Thank you for providing for this good rice. We are thanking the Lord for this rice".

The only food one elderly woman had in her house was a small handful of rice that she could hold in her hand. When ICII brought the rice to her, she was very happy and shared, "I thought that tonight I would have to go begging. My husband and I cannot work. I am too feeble to try to work, so we are so glad for this rice. Thank you so much, this rice will satisfy our hunger."
Udaiyammal the woman with leprosy shared, "Before I met you [the ICII team], I thought my life was totally finished. But now the Lord is using me to lead others to know who the true God is. The people in my village can realize that Jesus loves them and can come to know Him the way I have come to know Him. I want to worship Jesus because He is so good. Until I die, I will serve Jesus and praise him!" The next Sunday service, Udaiyammal brought six new people to church. Because of the love and compassion of one ICII supporter, many hearts were touched and the name of Jesus was glorified.
A family who received rice shared, "We are always eating the stale government-rationed rice. Because of eating that rice, our throats are so sore and our stomachs are always aching. We have no choice but to eat bad rice, because we are very poor. Thank you so much for giving our family this good rice."
