These children are very happy to receive blankets.

Good Samaritan Blanket Outreaches - We want to give a big thank you to all of you who sowed into our Good Samaritan fund. Through your generosity, ICII has given rice and blankets to poor families who are living in severe poverty in the villages.Through the gifts of loving and caring sponsors ICII was able to give out 1150 blankets in the last few months! The Lord allowed us to give blankets out to poor children, to lepers, to the homeless, to elderly village people, and to poor families. Just giving out blankets in these poor villages opened up the door for people's hearts to be softened to hear the Gospel. Hundreds have accepted the Lord through these events. One village was very hard; most did not follow Christ because it is a village where many people practice witchcraft to make a living and they diligently worship their Hindu idols. The people there have many bondages and sorrows in their lives. In two years, only one family had come to Christ after hearing the Gospel from ICII, and they began to follow the Lord very strongly. But when ICII came and gave each family a blanket, the people were very touched. After the blanket outreach, over eighty people gathered around ICII's laptop computer to watch a Christian video.

Afterwards Pastor Britto and Kathy shared the Gospel to them and many of them that were once before very hard-hearted now willingly and wholeheartedly accepted the Lord! One man that suffered with heart pain shared, "Through your coming to us we have experienced Jesus coming to us and now I will trust in Him only". Another man shared, "I have had many health problems, but after I heard the Gospel and received Jesus, I feel much better and I feel that tonight Jesus has changed my life. I will trust in Him always!" Other villages have been blessed as well and many have come to the Lord. Often the whole village will gather together at one spot to receive these blankets and it has given many opportunities to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus. This has been a wonderful opportunity to help the poor and needy. Many more villages are asking ICII to give blankets because there are many elderly people and children who lie on a mat on the damp cool floor of their huts with nothing to cover themselves at night. In the daytime it is very hot here, but the nights are cool. Best of all, here in India it only costs $2 per blanket. That is such a small price for a much-needed gift to give someone that is cold, damp, and suffering. It is a wonderful way to show the love of Jesus. You can make a difference in an entire villageby this act of love.
When you sow seed into the Good Samaritan fund, your gift will go for rice, blankets, medical, and greatest needs of those who are in desperate need.
Children's Bible Camp Day - What an exciting day it was for over seven hundred kids who gathered together on top of the "Home of Compassion" orphanage building. Each child grew up in a Hindu background, but now they were here for one purpose, and that was Jesus! ICII had to rent two buses for this event which traveled to eleven different villages to pick up children, and their parents trusted ICII to take their kids for a Bible camp day. When Pastor Richard asked the children why they came, all the children shouted in one accord that they were there to learn more about Jesus! The children's camp kicked off with songs which the children had learned in the villages through ICII Gospel teams.

Pastor Richard teaches 700 children the Word of God at the Bible Camp
|
|
| After this, skits were performed which taught important biblical themes, and a message was shared on how the children can grow closer to the Lord. Some of the skits were performed by the children living at "Home of Compassion" orphanage. ICII's "Home Of Compassion" children were thrilled to share about Jesus through performing skits so others could learn more about the Lord. After the event was over each child received a small gift and a snack as they went on their way home by bus which ICII had rented. Pastor Richard has a desire of the Lord to have these children's churches each week so children can grow up learning to go to church so when they are older they will continue to come to church and stay strong in the Lord. It is a hard road here in India when a child grows up in a Hindu family and is forced to worship the families Hindu gods and idols. But these 700 children (Pastor Richard foresees it will quickly grow to 1000 kids) have an opportunity to take the Gospel back to their parents so the Lord can move in their whole family's lives. All of the kids were asking for Bibles so they could read and learn more about the Lord. At the next children camp event ICII wants to give each child a Bible so they can read the Word of God and stay strong in the Lord. Bible camp days for up to 700 children costs around $600 per event. This covers transportation, a snack and lunch, a small gift for each child, and other supplies that are needed. As funds are provided, ICII wants to continue to hold more of these children's churches. The children are overjoyed to come and are constantly asking ICII to have more of these special events. ICII believes firmly in ministering to children and training them to love and worship the Lord: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6. ICII wants to thank all of you who have been sowing into ICII's general fund. You have made it possible for us to hold these life-changing events.

There is not enough room for everyone to sit at the first service at the village Sittur.

ICII's Native Missionaries Start New Church! - Not only are church services starting at the leprosy community, but we are pleased to announce that one of the Bible study groups conducted by two of ICII's native missionaries, Enoch and Gideon, has grown so much that they have now formed a branch church in the home of one family in the village called Sittur. This area is remote from the city. Some people had been walking over two miles to catch an overcrowded bus, and then riding another twelve miles just to come to the Dindigul church, and then the same to go home. The first service started the end of January, with around a hundred and fifty people that crowded into the yard or stood by the gate to hear. |
We are so excited to see the fruitfulness of the Bible studies and the diligent labor of ICII's native missionary teams conducting them. We plan to start more of these home churches to help ease the overcrowded situation at the Dindigul church. Our deep thanks go out to all of you who are supporting the native missionaries who are reaching these isolated village areas, without you this growth would not be occurring. The adults and children have received Bibles from ICII and many of them are experiencing deliverance from idol worship, and have been receiving God's healing in their lives. Many of the children are very hungry to learn the Word of God and they are reading their Bibles diligently.
