Missionary Xavior’s Testimony
One convert named Xavior shares his testimony of how Raj saved him from living a life of sin and despair. Now Xavior is not only a child of God, but he too is preaching the Gospel and doing ministry with Raj and the ICII ministry team.
Xavior shares, ”I grew up in a very poor family as the only son. My Father was Hindu, so I also followed after these same beliefs. My parents would always fight with each other and there was never any peace in my family. Every day my father would drink alcohol and beat or rebuke my mother and me with harsh words. I felt totally hopeless. One day, I got a job opportunity in Bombay as a cook for a group of guys. But when I began to work for them, I found out that they were a mob. Every day they would go out and threaten people and steal money from the shops. Little by little I also began to get involved in this lifestyle for many years.

I wanted to come out from that type of work, but they would not allow me to. If I tried to get out, I knew that they would kill me, so I was very scared to return home. Through this type of work I didn’t have any peace in my heart, instead I was filled only with constant fear. One day my Uncle Raj called me and begun to share about Jesus. My Uncle had just recently accepted the Lord through the Independent Church in India Gospel team. I told him how I was living here. Raj began to pray for me and he shared the Gospel to me. After I heard the Gospel, I put my trust in the Lord Jesus. I wanted to become a child of God and get out of my sin.

I prayed to God and asked Him for His forgiveness. I also prayed that He would deliver me from this mob group. Miraculously, the Lord helped me escape from them, and I came to my home in Dindigul. I began to go to the Independent Church in India’s ‘Bethel Prayer House’ church, and I began to read the Bible and to grow in the Lord. I felt I have to work for God and share the Gospel in the remote villages. Now every day I am going to ministry with the ICII’s Gospel teams and reaching the lost with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank the Lord who saved me to reach the lost people in India.”

Aburvaraj had severe stomach pain for three years and no doctor could give him any relief. After coming to church, he was prayed for by the Gospel team and the Lord totally healed his stomach! Aburvarai now has complete deliverance from pain! I am learning a lot about the Bible and I never felt this much love from anyone. I feel the love of God in ICII’s church services. I now have one desire and that is to live for the Lord all of my life. I love to do the ministry for the Lord and I thank God that he saved me from sin. I want to live for Him and do ministry for the Lord full time”.Raj has been used mightily of the Lord. No longer does Raj commit violent criminal acts, but instead he now loves to spend his time preaching the Gospel in the villages, and helping Pastor Britto and the teams do ministry work. Many people know Raj from his past, but now the Lord is using his testimony to lead others to salvation.
