Raj’s Testimony - From a Vicious
Criminal to a Mighty Man of God…

“I grew up in a very ungodly background. My family had an illegal alcohol business that was known all over our area. My father did many criminal acts such as arson and murdering a policeman. He hung out with very rowdy groups causing problems wherever he went. My father had great influence in our area that even the police were frightened of him and those with higher authority would submit to him. As time passed, the government sent secret police and destroyed my father’s entire alcohol manufacturing place. My father moved my family to another area and began again his alcoholic business, but again the business failed and he lost all our money. My father ran away with me from our village to a far place. He got a landlord to take me in as a servant in his house and then he ran away from me leaving me all alone. Everyday I would have to work outside in the hot sun to take care of the cow and I would have to clean up all the cow waste. Because I am low caste, this landlord would not allow me to eat off of their plates. I would have to find a leaf from a lake to eat the stale food on that they gave me.

Training up Native Missionaries

to Preach the Gospel…

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest”

                                                                                        (Matt 9:37-38).

Independent Church in India’s (ICII) mission has always been to train up missionaries (Gospel workers) to go out into the remote villages to preach the Gospel, to do children’s ministry, have Bible studies among new believers, pray for the sick and needy, reach out to the lepers, the orphans, and the poorest of the poor. For many years the Lord has been raising up native missionaries and Gospel workers that love the Lord with all of their hearts, and are feeling the call to dedicate their whole lives for the Gospel’s sake. Many of ICII’s Gospel workers are men and women that have come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior through the ministry teams of ICII. The Lord is using these believers (some of them ICII branch pastors) to reach masses of people in India. They have been working freely and diligently for many years with out any income, but instead they rely on faith that the Lord will provide all of their needs.

Many of the missionaries struggle because they have to provide for themselves and their families and can only do the ministry part-time. ICII is working to get multiple sponsors for each of these dedicated men and women, so multitudes more can be reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We encourage you to read the life-changing testimony of one man named Raj. Raj is one of these native missionaries the Lord has raised up through ICII.
