Smiles of joy light up the children's faces as they love to participate in the Bible songs.

Each week, Independent Church in India (ICII) is reaching out to hundreds of children as they visit the remote villages. As the van approaches a village, there are shouts of joy and happiness from the children that see them arriving.

The children are excited because they know that they will soon get to sing songs and hear more about Jesus. Depending on the size of the village, thirty to sixty children or more will quickly gather together to hear more about the Lord from the Gospel team. On Saturdays, the two teams travel by vehicle to two different areas, spending most of the steaming hot day ministering to the children.

Pastor Britto and Kathy Smith preaching
the Gospel to the children at a village.

Each team will reach around six villages, making a total of twelve villages each Saturday. Many adults also gather to hear the songs and the Bible teaching. Whenever the team visits a new village, they will always preach the good news of the Gospel and then the team will return to reach as many of these same villages weekly or bi-weekly to follow up with biblical teachings. Many of the children are telling them, "Each day we are praying to the Lord and asking him to help us".

The children are clearly realizing that Jesus loves them, because they have never experienced love or peace, but instead only bondage to the many Hindu idol gods they had been taught to worship by their parents. Each week many children are hearing about Jesus for the first time and are accepting Him as their Lord and Savior.

These children are accepting the Lord
    Jesus Christ into their hearts.

    The joy of the Lord!
It is wonderful to see the joy on the faces of those children who have in the past had no hope, but are now surrendering their lives to the Lord.

"In the Hindu villages there is no one to teach the children the Word of God so they feel so much joy when they hear about Jesus. Sometimes their parents also come to hear the Word of God, and the children are even singing the Christian songs in the public schools".
