"THE PROMISED LAND"- Homes of Compassion Leprosy Building Project has Begun!
ICII is happy to announce that, after a long trial of patience, ICII has gotten permission to commence our project to build Homes of Compassion for leprosy victims at their own "Promised Land Leprosy Community". Up until now, the leprosy friends have been sharing a small house and sleeping under a pavilion on the land. ICII has hired workers and they have begun working to build a water tank for drinking water. Construction has now also begun on a ten-room dormitory that will house twenty leprosy residents. As the Lord provides, further goals this year are to build a medical building, and a church, which will also be used as a fellowship hall for dining and other activities. As the Lord provides, more dormitories will be built to house more leprosy residents. We deeply thank all of you who have helped to provide for the building project.

Construction for Homes of Compassion Leprosy Community has begun!
10 rooms for 20 leprosy residents. Each room will be 10'x10'.
The eleven acres of land is surrounded by beautiful scenery
which will make their home seem like a paradise.
New water tank is partitioned to be used for healthy drinking water and to water the crops. The other side of the tank will be for farming fish.

Ground has been prepared for new crops..Holes are being dug to plant 175 coconut trees. Mango, banana, and sapota trees, and vegetables are also being planted on the land.

This home for leprosy victims will be much different than other leprosy colonies where they are just shut away and forsaken. At Independent Church in India's "Promised Land" Home of Compassion leprosy community, a home will be provided, healthy food and water, medicine, and lots of love and tender care for each person with leprosy that comes to live here. This home is being built on a beautiful 11 acre scenic view. Here most of their own food will be grown.
