Sponsor A Leprosy Friend
Reaching out to those with leprosy with the love of Jesus...

You can have compassion on the lepers the way Jesus did. You can make a life-changing difference for one person with leprosy today by sponsoring a person who has nothing in this world... You can show that person something new to them ... Love.

If you would like to sponsor a leprosy friend for $30 per month this will give one leper the family that he or she no longer has since he or she became a castaway. You can write him or her letters of encouragement and adopt him or her as a family member by providing their needs.

100 % of every gift will be used towards providing the needs of one leprosy friend and for the needs of the leprosy community.

Your sponsorship will provide a place to live for one leprosy friend at the leprosy community. It will provide food we cannot grow on the land. It will also provide for their medicine, clothes, personal needs, and will help to keep the community running smoothly. If you would like to be a big part of rebuilding the life of one person with leprosy, this will be a great opportunity. We cannot do this alone, but can only succeed with this project through the love, prayers and support of those who care.

Name: Saveriayar
Age: 65
Background: When Saveriayar was eleven years old he got leprosy. The same year he got the disease his parents died also, and his aunt took him out of school and made him a slave. Eventually he got married and had three children. After his disease got worse, his wife chased him away and began to live with another man. Saveriayar used to care for his children through begging from another state in India. Now he can no longer go begging because his legs have become more infected with leprosy, and it is hard for him to walk. He has recently been discharged from the government hospital, because there was no longer room for him to live there.

Salvation Experience: Saveriayar accepted the Lord when the ICII team visited the government hospital where he had been staying.

Name: Paul (nickname is Muthu)
Age: 70
Background: Paul suffered with leprosy for forty long years. Forty years ago, Muthu's family and his whole village had chased him out of their area because of his disease. Since then, he had been suffering, starving, virtually homeless, alone and rejected all these years. Each year, his body became more and more deformed by his disease. Muthu was living alone in an old, abandoned and damaged hut that stood dangerously close to the road. Muthu's only way to live was to go begging for food. People would usually only give him old rice that they no longer wanted and that was beginning to go bad and turning sour.

Salvation Experience: One day, Pastor Britto (the founder of ICII) saw Paul walking along the road and stopped to share the Gospel to him. After hearing the gospel, Muthu gladly received Christ.

Name: Raj
Age: 75
Background:
Raj grew up as an orphan,. Raj shares; "I never seen my parents. From my childhood until now I am begging all of my life. I didn't get married. When I was 30 years old I got this leprosy disease". When Raj got older and his leprosy grew worse, he began to live at the government hospital. When ICII learned of his situation they brought him to stay at the leprosy community so he could receive good food and medical care.

Salvation Experience: Raj accepted the Lord when the ICII Gospel team visited the government hospital where he had been staying.
